Part-time MSc Receptionist/Secretary

Part-time MSc Receptionist/Secretary School of Management (18 hours per week) Ref: 09001PP Description: You will assist the Head of MSc Operations in the running of the School's highly successful MSc programmes. This is an extremely busy role in which an eye for detail is paramount. Principal duties involve acting as first point of contact for all forms of enquiry to the MSc Office, from both potential and current MSc students, by telephone, e-mail and in person; handling mail; processing application materials; assisting with maintenance of records, files, and stationery supplies; providing assistance to staff lecturing on the MSc programmes; and providing data for the Head of MSc Operations. You will be well-presented and a good team-player, with a friendly, professional approach at all times, committed to customer care, and with excellent communication skills and a high standard of written English. You will need to be able to deal sensitively with queries from students and with working in a multi-cultural environment. Good organisational skills, reliability, initiative, confidence, discretion, and a friendly and helpful attitude at work are also pre-requisites of the post, as are experience of Microsoft Word and knowledge of or aptitude to learn Access and Excel. The post is for 18 hours per week (equivalent of 2.5 days). There is potential for flexibility with respect to the hours worked, but the preferred arrangement is over 3 days.
